Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: May 11, 2026

At The Salty Nook LLC, we understand that plans can shift like tides 🌊. Our goal is to provide a fair and transparent cancellation policy for all guests while protecting the availability of our vacation homes.

By booking a reservation with The Salty Nook LLC, you agree to the following cancellation terms.

Standard Cancellation Policy

Full Refund

Guests may receive a full refund if the reservation is canceled:

  • Within 24 hours of booking, and
  • At least 14 days before check-in

Partial Refund

Guests who cancel:

  • 7 to 13 days before check-in may receive a 50% refund of the nightly rate

Non-Refundable Period

Reservations canceled:

  • Less than 7 days before check-in are non-refundable

Cleaning fees may be refunded if the guest has not checked in.

Same-Day Bookings

Reservations made within 7 days of check-in may be non-refundable upon confirmation unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.

Early Departures

Refunds are not provided for:

  • Late arrivals
  • Early departures
  • Unused nights
  • Changes in travel plans after check-in

Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued for circumstances outside of The Salty Nook LLC’s control, including but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Hurricanes or tropical storms
  • Flight cancellations or delays
  • Personal emergencies
  • Illness
  • Government travel restrictions
  • Utility outages caused by third parties
  • Natural events or force majeure situations

Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance for added protection.

Host Cancellation

In the rare event that The Salty Nook LLC must cancel a reservation due to property damage, maintenance issues, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, guests will receive:

  • A full refund, or
  • The option to transfer the reservation to another available property when possible

Third-Party Booking Platforms

Reservations made through third-party platforms such as Airbnb or Vrbo may also be subject to the cancellation and refund policies of those platforms.

Where platform policies conflict with this policy, the platform’s terms may control the booking.

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Guests agree to contact The Salty Nook LLC directly to resolve any concerns before initiating chargebacks or payment disputes.

Fraudulent or improper chargebacks may be contested with supporting reservation documentation.
